Tissue Acquisition and Repository for Gastrointestinal and Hepatic Systems (TARGHETS)
The TARGHETS biorepository works with various gastrointestinal clinical trials and research studies within Arizona. The primary focus is to discover more effective treatments as well as diagnostics for gastrointestinal diseases. We approach a variety of donors, including normal or healthy volunteers, for consent and collection of biospecimens (urine, stool, saliva, blood, and gastrointestinal tissue) from the Banner Medical Center facilities (Main, South, and North campuses). Specimens are then aliquoted and stored for current and future research.
