Cross-Sectional Study of Biomarkers for the Differential Diagnosis of Parkinson’s vs Essential Tremor
The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of a blood test approach to prevent false diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease in essential tremor. This study is also being conducted to obtain blood samples to be stored in a biorepository. A biorepository is a collection of samples and health information that can be used by researchers for future studies.

Male or female subjects ? 35 years of age
Recently (1-3 years) diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease or diagnosed with essential tremor
Primary disease category: Parkinson's Disease, Neuromuscular Disorders & Other Movement Disorders
Secondary disease categories: Brain, Spinal Cord & Nervous System
Projected enrollment dates: June 2015 to May 2017
